Creative Quilting Recharge

Wow, what a break I’ve taken. To be honest, after working non-stop on my two QuiltCon submissions last Nov, and the three swaps I signed prior to that, I was a bit burnt out. The joy had leached out of quilting for me, when it became another deadline and needy thing in my life. So I have taken a small step backwards, and am refocusing my energy into what I love about quilting; creating! I have an idea bumping around my head that I will put into action soon, hopefully to have a quilt top ready for a workshop I am taking at QuiltCon.   This is my inspiration:

In the meantime, I finished a WIP! It feels so good to finish a quilt, and I immediately put it in use while working in my somewhat chilly office.   I will post better pictures soon!

Sometimes a step back is what we need to feel rejuvenated. Did you use the curve ruler for that bottom quilt? I’ve been wondering if the guild library should get one.

I didn’t use the ruler but I wish I had. It would be a great addition to our library, we could check it out like the books!
