Finished Quilts, Quilt Block

Simple Orange Peel Baby Quilt

I followed Elizabeth Hartman’s Craftsy class to create this Orange Peel quilt.

The Orange Peel top has been completed since last December.  I finally was inspired to finish it as a baby quilt for my good friend and her new baby.  I loved how fast the orange peel blocks came together, with a template and a bunch of wonder-under fuseable web.  The blocks are 5.5 inches, with a fused peel of Lotus Pond fabric.

I zigzagged around each peel, and then quilted a matching pattern for the quilt.

I used yellow minky for the backing.

Sending this one on its way!

I have started an Orange Peel Tutorial that I will post shortly!

As promised to myself, I also completed the second block of My Quilting Bee! A quick reward to myself for finishing a Work In Progress!

Your Orange Peel Quilt turned out beautifully! This is a quilt I have often thought about making so I look forward to your tutorial. Love the JD fabrics in your Quilting Bee blocks too.

Thanks Deb! It was a fun project. Originally I was going to make it twin size, so when I paired it down it was much easier to complete.
